We are accepting new patients
The Quays Practice is part of The Salford Medical Centre Group and by completing a new registration form with Salford Medical Centre means you will be registered at the Quays Practice also.
To register with the surgery:
- register online through the NHS register with a GP surgery service (please note we are part of Salford Medical Practice and completing this form will still register you at The Quays Practice)
- visit reception from 10am to 6pm and collect a paper registration form
When you register, it’s helpful to have your NHS number (but not essential). You can use the NHS website to find your NHS number.
Do you live out of area?
We are accepting registrations of patients who live outside our catchment area on a case by case basis. We do not generally recommend this as you can limit the type of services you can receive.

Important: Registering with a GP surgery outside your local area can affect the NHS services that you can access including:
- home visits and urgent care from your GP, including out of hours care
- community services, such as physiotherapy, mental health and district nursing appointments
Ask us to explain any alternative arrangements for these services when you register. Sometimes we may recommend registering closer to your home. We may refuse a registration if we feel registering you may adversely affect your health outcomes.
