The following services can be accessed for help when you need it. Anxiety / Depression are common problems and can be very distressing. If you have recently been started on medication, this can take time to be effective. If you are concerned about any side effects of your medication or feel that things haven’t improved in 4-6 weeks, please make an appointment with a clinician.
Sometimes negative thoughts can be severe, and people may want to harm themselves. If you feel like this, there are people who can help you. You are not alone; support is available to help you through this difficult time.
If you have harmed yourself and need urgent medical attention, you need to be seen by the nearest Accident & Emergency service by calling 999.
If you are at risk of harming yourself or others, you need urgent help from a mental health professional. You can speak to someone by attending your nearest Accident & Emergency department.
If you need support with your mental health but are not at risk of harming yourself or others, then contact us either through our website or by calling us at 0161 983 0990. If the practice is closed, you can contact 111 for advice.
